Job Description
The General Agency Account Executive is a key position within agency sales and service team with primary responsibilities including coverage and procedural guidance to team members, assistance with team training, consulting, advising, communicating and relationship building between the agency, the agent, the carrier, and the consumer. Effective results expected from this position will be monitored through team performance, meeting deadline requirements, product knowledge, peer, consumer & carrier feedback and team growth/retention. This non-exempt position requires high level analytical and problem-solving skills, and this individual will handle communication, quoting, executing new business, assisting in qualifying existing renewals for possible alternative markets, account rounding and underwriting while using discretion and independent judgement.
Essentials Skills/Job Function:
- Professional customer service qualities including a positive attitude, team-player, and high ethical standards.
- Ability to effectively consult and advise clients and ability to negotiate with carriers.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exemplary customer service skills
- Ability to handle Book of Business $200,000 and above.
- Mathematical skills
- High attention to detail and instructions
- Ability to work completely independently and with minimal direction in soliciting, rating and binding existing or new business.
- Typing with a minimum of 50 WPM
- Above average technology skills including Basic Excel/Word/PowerPoint experience.
Required Experience & Education:
- State Insurance license preferred or attainable within 90 days
- Ability to sell, cross sell, and foster increased support towards sales with team for client base.
- Maintain expected retention levels.
- Strong computer skills
Preferred Experience & Education:
- Insurance product knowledge but will train the right candidate
- College Education
