DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ability to coat aircraft surfaces with paint, lacquer, epoxy, resin, or other materials using spray guns and other devices, ensuring high-quality finished parts.
- Prepare, paint, and apply finishing coatings to aircraft, parts, and assemblies, including setting up the equipment used to paint aircraft components.
- Prepare composite and metal surfaces through sanding, water break testing, and tape testing.
- Perform preparation, masking, etching, plating, and priming of composite components and parts.
- Perform detailed touch-ups as needed.
- Utilize and maintain painting equipment and assist with general shop cleaning and maintenance.
- Check expiration dates of materials prior to use, prepare proper mixes of resins and catalysts.
- May make continuity checks on work in progress and may monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
- Maintain records as required. Supports the quality process by maintaining work area in an orderly condition by returning tools, equipment and materials to storage areas.
- Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
- Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.

Job Qualifications:
- Typically requires High School diploma or equivalent and five or more years of related experience.
- Must be customer-focused and possess:
- A strong knowledge of safety practices, OSHA regulations, and the tools, equipment, and materials used in the field.
- A solid understanding of surface preparation, materials, and techniques for surface finishing.
- The ability to read and interpret drawings to understand customer requirements.
- The physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and to work from ladders.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills to effectively work as part of a team.
- The ability to interface with employees and upper management from other departments and to effectively communicate job status and estimated completion dates.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD secret clearance is required.
