What are the responsibilities and job description for the WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR position at GENERAL BEVERAGE SALES CO?
This salaried position requires overseeing all aspects of the warehouse including receiving, rotation, loading, and distribution functions of the company. The position holder will plan, direct, and control all warehouse activities related to the receipt and distribution of products. Coordinate with the Warehouse Day Supervisor to assure proper functioning of warehouse operations.
Work Week: Monday - Thursday - 2nd Shift
Qualifications:?
- Five years of experience in the related job field.???
- Proficiency in using a computer.?
- Basic competency level using Microsoft Office and Excel.???
- Must be able to lift from 5 to 150 lbs. multiple times per day.????
- Must be able to crawl, reach, twist, and bend.???
- Effective communication skills.??
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.????
- Ability to accept responsibility and account for their actions.??
- The ability to function independently, take initiative, demonstrate a creative approach as situations require and maintain confidentiality.
- Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License with Class A CDL certification preferred.??
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and lift test.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Direct the planning and assignment of work for the most efficient use of warehouse personnel and equipment to control costs.???
- Evaluate methods and procedures in assigned areas of responsibilities and recommend changes to management.???
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse and make recommendations to management on maintenance needs.???
- Conduct regular safety audit of warehouse and routine safety training with staff including compliance with all forklift maintenance and certification requirements.??
- Provides an inspection of incoming products against orders and specifications for correctness and for damage.? Arranges for return of dunnage, outdated, empties to breweries.????
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
