What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Small Animal Assistant position at General Booth Veterinary Hospital?
We are a busy AAHA accredited hospital that offers a compassionate and nurturing working environment.We have a newly renovated building and were recently voted one of America’s Top 500 Animal Hospitals by Newsweek magazine for 2025. We need an upbeat, friendly individual to assist our Veterinarians and Vet Nurses to meet the needs of our clients and patients. Job duties include but are not limited to effective animal restraint and handling, kennel work, janitorial duties and assisting Vet Nurses and Veterinarians with appointments and hospitalized patients. Lifting up to 50 lbs and standing are also part of the veterinary assistant's role. We require our team to work alternating Saturdays and varied scheduled shifts. The part-time position weekly hours range from 2 to 30. Experience is preferred but not necessary, as we have a team dedicated to training and nurturing the right candidate.
