General Carbide is looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to:
- Maintain manually controlled machinery such as lathes, mills, presses and other typical shop equipment
- Troubleshoot and maintain CNC machinery
- Repair and maintain plumbing, physical structure, grounds and electrical wiring/fixtures in accordance with blueprints, and building codes.
- Observe safety, health, and environmental regulations.
- Replacement of gear boxes and other mechanical components.
- Perform installations, equipment preventative maintenance; fabricate parts and service mobile equipment.
- Follow verbal instruction, read blueprints, manuals, layouts and other plans.
- Must understand Schematics.
- Knowledge of Mechanical, Hydraulic and Pneumatic applications. Electrical, PLC and electrical control systems 120 to 480 volt is a plus.
- Knowledge of CMM software is a plus.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Good communication skills
- Ability to read prints
- 3years of experience as an industrial mechanic
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- PLC and automation a plus
- Forklift operations
