Summary
The primary responsibility of a Production Blender is to blend finished products following the production schedule and formulation specifications. Key responsibilities include staging and blending batches according to the Formula Card requirements, transferring the blended products into shipping containers, labeling them, and managing stock rotation using a FIFO (First In, First Out) method. Additionally, the Production Blender must verify orders for accuracy and package products to meet specified requirements.

- Blend finished products according to the production schedule and formulation: Stage and blend batches to meet Formula Card specifications, then transfer and label shipping containers while rotating stock using FIFO (First In, First Out)
- Complete daily shipping lists
- Ensure product quality assurance before shipping
- Verify orders for accuracy and package them to meet the required specifications
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
- Operate equipment following company safety and quality policies
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) on equipment
- Keep accurate records for preventive maintenance, needed supplies, etc.
- Assist with inventory management
- Load and unload trucks
- Verify all paperwork for items being shipped and received
- Conduct quality verification for incoming shipments
- Prepare products for shipping, including boxing, palletizing, banding, and stretch wrapping
- Comply with all company policies and local, state, and federal regulations
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Required Skills and Abilities
- Familiar with material handling equipment and be a licensed forklift operator; or the have the ability to become a licensed forklift operator
- Strong math, organizational, and time management skills
- Knowledge of Hazardous Material Shipping practices
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office, E-mail, and Web
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to delegate effectively
- Sense of urgency and ability to multitask successfully
- A positive/ optimistic attitude and demeanor
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Outstanding customer service mindset
Experience Certifications
At least five (5) years of experience in blending, mixing, or manufacturing industrial liquid chemicals, or related products OR a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related field is preferred. Experience should include handling raw materials, operating blending equipment, and following precise formulations to ensure product quality. Knowledge of ASTM and SAE standards, and blending procedures is essential. Must be proficient in measuring, weighing, and mixing chemicals, as well as conducting quality control checks to maintain compliance with industry specifications. Familiarity with regulatory standards such as API, ILSAC, or OEM requirements is a plus.
