Construction Estimator

JH Construction & General Contractor is seeking an Estimator to join our construction team. Ideal candidate will have a background in all phases of commercial and residential construction estimating, with a desire to grow with the company.

We are seeking a team player with experience in construction estimating.

Depending on experience, we would consider both full time and part-time applicants.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in project estimation including quantity takeoffs, data entry, receiving quotes on products/services/sub-contractors and cost analysis.
• Effective & accurate presentations of budgets/estimates, to management and preparing budget cost comparisons.
• Prepare project estimates, cost summaries and project timelines.
• Create quantity material and labor takeoffs.
• Develop and acquire sub-contractor estimates, competitive material quotes and assist in preparation of sub-contractor agreement.
• Review Change Order request and assist in preparation and approval of Change Orders.
• Closely coordinate with management, project managers, clients and Architects/Engineers.

• QUALIFICATIONS:
• A college degree preferred but not required or multiple years of hands-on industry experience.
• Commitment to excellence and hard work

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
