Job Description

General Control Systems currently enjoys a great reputation in the integration industry and are looking to extend that success by adding capabilities to existing and new accounts. As a result, we are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our team.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

The basic function of the Project Manager is to oversee and direct all phases of a project. The Project Manager reports directly to the Engineering Manager. The Project Manager is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Lead the planning and implementation of projects

2. Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables

3. Develop full project plans

1. Coordinate project staff

2. Manage project budget

3. Plan and schedule project timelines

4. Track project deliverables

5. Monitor and report on progress of the projects externally to the customer and internally to the Vice President

6. Quote, implement and manage project changes

7. Must demonstrate leadership skills with exceptional ability to guide, direct, and coordinate.

8. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings, financial reports and operational manuals.

9. Must be exceptionally organized to adapt to changing client demands and meet changing deadlines.

10. Ability to successfully communicate to customers.

11. Excellent knowledge of the Company’s industry and trends impacting its business.

12. Effectively communicate, in English, both verbally and in writing.
