Job Overview
The Electro-Mechanical Assembler/ Electronic Technician is responsible for assembling, wiring, calibrating, and testing electrical and mechanical components used in medical and industrial equipment. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to read technical drawings and schematics, and a strong commitment to quality and safety standards. The technician will also assist with inventory, product packaging, and general shop organization while working closely with engineers and production staff. This is a hands-on, entry-level opportunity with room for growth and skill development in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assemble and wire electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical components.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
- Install, program, and calibrate machine components.
- Test and inspect assemblies for quality and functionality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve assembly or wiring issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Track inventory, label products, and prepare items for shipment.
- Collaborate with engineers and production staff.
- Lift and move equipment up to 80 lbs.
- Operate material handling equipment (training provided).
Scope of Works
Assembly:
- Assembling electrical, electronic systems, components, pneumatic, and subassemblies.
- Installing wiring, connectors, pneumatic, valve assembly, and other electrical components.
- Using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment (e.g., soldering irons, crimping tools, extraction tools, and pliers,).
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Programming/ Calibration:
- Basic programming to interface machine using micro controller programmer.
- Calibration using an in-house programming system.
Testing and Inspection:
- Testing assembled components and systems to ensure proper functionality.
- Inspecting wiring installations, assemblies, and circuits for quality and safety.
- Identifying and resolving issues or defects.
- Able to test using Hi pot and Electrical Safety Analyzer instrument.
Other Duties:
- Cleaning and organizing work areas.
- Marking inventories and tracking products.
- Collaborating with engineers and designers on product development.
- Following safety procedures and regulations.
- Packing finished products for shipment.
- Distributing supplies to workers.
- Instructing workers on equipment use or technical procedures.
- Able to lift 60-80lbs machine.
- Able to drive material handling equipment. Will train and certify if necessary.
- Work Availability:
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position, with overtime.
Typical hours of work are:
- Option 1 Monday- Thursday (7am-5:30pm), Friday 7am-1pm
- Option 2 Tuesday-Friday (7am-5:30pm), Monday 7am-1pm

Qualifications
- Proficient in surface mount technology and soldering techniques
- Strong understanding of electrical wiring and assembly processes
- Experience with schematics and microcontrollers
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers
- Mechanical aptitude with hand tools and power tools
- Ability to use measuring instruments such as calipers and ohmmeters
- Background in manufacturing and electrical experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 45 per week
