Door Technician

Job Overview
We are looking for a motivated and dependable Automotive/Commercial Door Technician with moderate handyman experience to join our team. If you have a passion for hands-on, creative problem-solving, and are eager to learn, we will provide the tools and training necessary for your success. Relevant experience, a valid driver’s license, or Spanish-speaking skills are a plus. Certification with AAADM (American Association of Automatic Door Manufacturers) is also a plus. Responsibilities

• Assist in the inspection, repair, and installation of automatic, commercial, glass aluminum, hollow metal doors, and overhead doors.
• Use your handyman skills to assist with general repairs and installations of door parts, seals, and mechanisms.
• Ensure all work is completed to company and manufacturer standards.
• Follow detailed instructions and safety procedures while working on doors.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Communicate with the team and management regarding the progress of repairs.
• Keep accurate records of tasks performed and materials used.
• Assist with other repair duties as needed.

Skills

• Moderate handyman experience required; automotive or commercial door experience is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of commercial door systems and components is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
• Familiarity with commercial door service techniques and equipment repair is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to dig into complex issues effectively.
• Understanding of hydraulic systems and lock operations is beneficial.
• Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with clients.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
• Spanish-speaking skills are a plus.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Certification with AAADM (American Association of Automatic Door Manufacturers) is a plus.
• A keen interest in commercial application diagnostics and a desire to develop technical skills further.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
