Overview
Department 425 Instrumentation and Control (I&C) Systems and Software requires an Administrative Aide to support the department. Applicant must possess a high degree of professionalism, be able to maintain confidentiality with all business & personnel matters, and be capable of prioritizing and multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment. Applicant must be able to support time-critical assignments and interface with all levels of management throughout the facility.
Job assignments include, but are not limited to the following:
- Typing, distributing, and filing of department correspondence
- Maintaining electronic and hard copies of department files
- Arranging business travel and generating expense reports
- Managing office supplies
- Arranging meetings and managing conference rooms
- General administrative duties in support of the I&C Systems and Software organization
- Preparing IT service requests, computer system access request, and communication work orders
- Other duties as required
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 0-5 years of Administrative/Secretarial experience
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to obtain a DOD Secret security clearance
Preferred:
- Familiarity with Concur Travel
- Knowledge of Electric Boat correspondence formatting
- Experience in office administration/office management
