Overview
The D442 Wireless Systems Integration team is looking for a DevOps engineer with a strong understanding of Microsoft and Linux scripting environments and knowledge of network infrastructure to perform developmental-level tasks in support of ongoing and future deployments of secure wireless systems to the US Navy.
The engineer will be an integral part of the development team, responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring and managing both the current and next generation wireless system fielded on US Navy Submarines and Carriers. The position will require that the engineer has a strong security focus, have strong attitude towards first time quality, and the ability to work and communicate with other internal technical personnel as well as EB management and external organizations including our external customers.

Duties and Responsibilities will include:
- Design and implement network solutions to improve the state of current/future system designs in accordance with DoD standards
- Develop an inside-out understanding of the network environment
- Assist in development of procedures for use in official documentation (i.e., Load Plans, Technical Manuals, etc.) for each network baseline
- Work with System Engineering team to analyze impact of new requirements on current/future network baselines
- Serve as the technical lead for validation efforts
- Assist in resolution of shipboard issues and network faults captured via help desk tickets
- Attend external customer calls to field questions concerning overall design of system
Qualifications
Required:
- A Bachelor's of Science degree in engineering in Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, Computer Systems and Networks, Electrical/Electronic engineering, Cybersecurity
- 4 years of software development experience
- Ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance
- DoD 8570.01M IAT Level 2 approved certifications
- CompTIA Security
- Current DoD Secret clearance, or above
- Experience with commonly used APIs (Rest, Open, etc.)
- Experience with commonly used programming and scripting languages (Java, Python, PowerShell, etc.)
- Experience in containerization and orchestration technologies
- Experience with network infrastructure and automation
- Experience with the NSA Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) program
- Experience with the DoD Risk Management Framework (NIST 800-53)
