Overview
The Program Finance Analyst (Financial Analyst) performs Financial Management and Program Control functions associated with design contracts managed by the Program Finance Department 626. The Program Finance team serves as a critical business partner by providing analysis, insight and guidance to enable strategic program decisions and achieving bottom-line results.
Position located in New London Facility.
Job Responsibilities:
- Create and update Daily, Weekly, and Monthly reports to support program management
- Preparation of cost reports to support both internal and external customers
- Budget development and maintenance, Estimated at Complete development
- Performance measurement and variance analysis
- Communication and presentation of data to Program Office, department Directors, and external customers
- Input to Finance Systems for Indicated Profit, Sales Orders and Backlog
- Shop order management
- Monitoring subcontractor contracts including requisition review and approval
- Coordination with Cash Management to support billing to external customers
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Mathematics, Economics, or Statistics/Analytics
Preferred:
- 0-2 years of related experience
- Prior Electric Boat internship or co-op experience
- Experience in government contract cost control
- Experience with Earned Value Management
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI
- Knowledge of EB Systems (WAF/DLB, Accounting, Planning, Mainframe MRP, Purchasing and Inventory, Oracle)
- Experience reporting and analyzing financial data
Skills
- Be interested in and capable of analyzing data with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of EB Systems (WAF/DLB, Accounting, Planning, Mainframe MRP, Purchasing and Inventory, Oracle)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas) and Power Point
- Analytical, problem-solving and decision making skills
- Possess a considerable amount of initiative and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills and experience working collaboratively with others
- Ability to meet critical reporting deadlines
