The D403 Graphics Design Group is seeking a Graphic Designer to create content for various business needs.
The work includes supporting high visibility events such as christenings and keel layings, in addition to supporting routine business requests. Products often developed include badge signs, company signage, banners, certificates, corporate event materials, maps, calendars, informational bulletins, artwork for work areas and posters. Interaction with the Sign Shop and Reproduction is often required to support customer requests. Travel between sites is occasionally needed.
The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, engaging with multiple customers and jobs, ensuring that the appropriate standard of work is maintained while balancing external demands. In addition to being capable of consistently developing professional designs, this position requires strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Required
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 2 years of graphic design experience, with a portfolio showcasing professional/business graphic design work.
- 2 years of experience working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
- Experience working with internal and external customers, managing client requests.
- Ability to obtain Secret Clearance.
- Active Secret Clearance.
- Associate or Bachelors of Arts degree, or certificate, in graphic design related field.
- Understanding of submarine shipbuilding process and lifecycle.
- Experience with Electric Boat departments and GD Business Units.
- Project management experience.
- Proficiency in graphic design programs (Corel Draw / Canvas / Adobe Photoshop).
- Strong interpersonal and customer engagement skills.
- Ability to produce high quality graphics in a high pace environment.
