Material Coordinator

Overview

This position is for the EB West Maintenance & Modernization Site in Bremerton, WA.

 

Position located in Bremerton, WA. Maintenance and Modernization has an opening for Material Coordinators. 

 

The selected candidate will perform warehouse duties in the Shop/Shipyard as required to receive and dispatch materials. Must have good organization skills and maintain material control and segregation. The position requires the candidate to be flexible, as well as adaptable, working in a team environment. Candidate shall be experienced in reading blueprints and math skills necessary to perform this function. Candidate shall be willing to learn new skills and apply them as necessary with appropriate training. Candidate will be cross trained in other functions of the business to include, but not limited to: Hazmat control, Label design and fabrication, Transportation and trade technician helper.

 

Candidate is required to be proficient with computers to access ITS (Inventory tracking System), MRP II (Materials Resource Planning), EWP (Electronic Work Package), and accessing company policies and procedures.  This position will require going on board a submarine. The candidate must work in a team environment, be able to work independently when needed to do so, and must be willing to travel. A secret clearance is required as a condition of employment.

Qualifications

Required:

• This is not an entry level position. EB is looking for skilled Material Coordinators that can perform the functions with reasonable oversight with at least 1 year experience
• High School Diploma, or equivalent required
• Computer skills required
• Applicants will be required to perform Truck Drive/Forklift Operating duties
• Applicants must be willing to accept other duties when warehousing work is limited

Preferred:

• Previous EB/Warehousing, Naval Supply System experience
• Knowledge of MDD’s, SP’s/SSP’s, DI’s and SI’s is preferred
• Hazmat training a plus

Additional Requirements:

• Must possess or be able to obtain DoD Secret Clearance
• Must be willing to travel
• Must be able to obtain a Lifting and handling certification.
• Required to obtain a forklift license and associated physicals and drug screenings
• Must work overtime as needed to support emergent work, as needed
