Overview
The Electric Boat Facilities and Real Estate Department in Groton CT is seeking a Program Manager to lead and develop a team of Project Managers supporting shipyard capital expansion and improvement projects.
This position requires strong leadership skill and the ability to manage cross functionally with finance, legal, procurement, environmental, user groups, safety and fire departments. The successful candidate will need to have 7 years of experience managing teams and major capital projects including securing funding using business case analyses, managing project scope and stringent engineering requirements for buildings and systems.
Additionally, this manager will be required, with their team, to maintain project budgets, schedules and strict vendor oversight. This position requires excellent communication skills with employees at all levels both internally and externally.
Experience with construction project contracting methods, specification development and development of project RFPs are also a requirement for this position.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Construction Management, Project Management
- 7 years of experience managing teams with direct reports
- 7 years managing major capital projects
- 7 years of project manager experience
- Experience with construction project contracting methods, specification development and development of project RFPs

- Contract writing experience
