Electric Boat's Trident Training Facility (TTF) on Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, GA is seeking a Program Representative to support trainer/lab, design, implementation, and contractor supervision for facility upgrades supporting Columbia trainer/lab installations.
This candidate will be an integral cog of the D706 team, routinely communicating the progress of any project assigned and working in conjunction with the team to resolve problems as they arise.
This position will report to the Supervisor of Engineering Services, providing direct support of Hull, Mechanical, Electrical and Ordnance (HME&0) equipment with established program initiatives, planning, scheduling, and facility project support.
Responsiblities include:
- Act as liaison with various disciplines on budgeting, project schedules, manpower planning, and Vendor procurement.
- Support the shipping, receipt, assembly, and installation of trainer hardware to include testing, certification, performance of room and building site surveys and attendance at trainer installation in-briefs and out-briefs.
The successful candidate will:
- Have a thorough working knowledge of all Microsoft Office products.
- Possess strong organizational, written and communication skills for use in a team environment with the ability to multi-task and work independently when required.
- Have the ability to effectively collaborate with a wide range of internal and external organizations at multiple levels of management.
- Be highly motivated and well organized with strong project management skills
- Possess a strong fundamental understanding of engineering concepts and basic understanding of relationship between electronic, mechanical/piping, and structural systems/components.
Required:
- High School Diploma / GED
- 4 years experience in project coordination, facilities support, or a related field
- Experience using/understanding NAVSEA/SP drawings, technical manuals, ship system manuals and various other documents in the performance of this task
Preferred:
- Bachelors Degree
- Experience in Project Management, government activities, construction, electrical/electronic systems, military experience, and OSHA certification.
