Overview
D472 has an opening for a Provisioner to provide technical and logistics support for Ship Alteration and Contractor Furnished Equipment (CFE) installed in new construction and commissioned vessels (including VIRGINIA, COLUMBIA, Moored Training Ship, and SEAWOLF Classes of submarine).
Work scope includes:
- Preparation of Provisioning Technical Documentation (PTD) and Ship Alteration Cross Reference Parts Lists (SACRPL) in EBS (Enterprise Business Systems) and associated configuration data for all CFE components and associated sourcing data for Alteration Drawings.
- Breakdown of configuration worthy components into the required repair parts and identifying the lowest replaceable units.
- Technical review of vendor drawings, and material and manufacturing specifications to determine technical ordering data and inspection requirements for CFE mechanical and electrical components.
- Technical review of alteration drawings, and material and manufacturing specifications to identify readily available stock to determine technical ordering data and inspection requirements for alteration Structural, Electrical, and Mechanical drawings.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, non-destructive testing, welding, inspection, and special cleaning requirements.
- An understanding of engineering fundamentals to provide direct support to engineering personnel, NAVSUP-WSS and forces afloat relating to engineering evaluation of technical ordering and supply issues.
Qualifications
Required:
- High School diploma or GED
- 5 years of experience in one of the following: Navy Operational Experience, Military Logistics, Electric Boat Design, supply support or other related fields
- Basic computer skills required
Preferred:
- Military Supply/Support Logistics
- Navy Rates: EM, ET, MMA, MMW, MMN, TM
- Familiarity with Propulsion and Reactor Plant Systems
- Current Secret Clearance
- Knowledge of Navy Stock system data (NSNs/APLs/AELs)
- Basic knowledge of submarine systems
- Prior experience with NAVSUP or DLA
- Ability to read and understand component and system drawings as they apply to the preparation of PTD or SACRPL and ordering data is highly desirable
Skills
- Experience with component repair and repair philosophy
- Training in the use of EBS can be provided
