HOW A DATABASE DEVELOPER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT :
- Develop and maintain Microsoft SQL Server instances to ensure databases and data model connectivity and performance for dependent connecting .NET applications.
- Ensuring the database is optimized and providing analysis and examination of the server clusters to ensure replication processes are functioning normally across the network in the event of network failover.
- Ensure databases, tables, and objects are backed up regularly to maintain data integrity.
- Ensuring the security of the database, software, and hardware are compliant with security measures using the risk management framework and NIST FIPS guidelines subject to audits and oversight.
- Configuring financial database tables and reports to allow for budgeting and finance staff to input raw data and create customized reports for briefings and financial status.
- Configuring contact roster database tables and reports that allows staff input of new contacts and creating standardized report formats for daily use.
- Developing a process for the general staff to input purchase orders, travel requests and expense forms, minimizing third party applications and allowing for custom reports for budgeting and finance staff.
- Overseeing database organizations, standards, controls, procedures and documentation.
- Acting as a resource to answer user questions about hardware and software issues.
