Responsibilities:
- Develops accurate labor and material estimates for shipboard/shop work and repairs.
- Evaluates subcontractor price quotations and identifies cost elements necessary for execution of work requirements.
- Collaborates with production management, scheduling, and supply chain management teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Prepares requisitions for subcontracts, rentals, and materials to support proposal pricing.
- Interfaces with contracts, project, and production management teams to resolve technical and schedule issues.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Proven track record of working in a navy ship repair environment.
- Expertise in shipboard systems, equipment, spaces, configuration, and labor and material costs.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with Navy Maintenance Database (NMD) Planning and Execution Modules.
