We are currently seeking a Database Analyst to join our team. In this role you will be a change agent by working on the TFM2 contract. TFM2 provides modernization and life cycle support of Information Technology infrastructure that host national implementation of the FAA's Traffic Flow Management (TFM) functionality. It also focuses on long term engineering services and the development of new functional enhancements that increase the capability of Traffic Flow Management.

HOW A DATABASE ANALYST ADVISOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
- Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements
- Database creation
- Set database parameters or specifications
- Database design, migration, performance monitoring
- Perform capacity planning, installation, configuration
- Monitor and maintain database storage, database health and performance
- Support basic IT issues such as password resets, peripheral configurations, hardware diagnostics, and coordinate repairs
- Perform hardware buildouts
- Perform daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media and media is recycled
- Repair and recover from hardware or software failures and communicate with impacted constituencies
- Manage backup and recovery processes including replication for failover environments and disaster recovery
- Assists in configuring networking services and protocols
- Installation and configuration of Oracle databases, patches and associated products
- Basic monitoring and tuning - troubleshoot potential database performance bottlenecks and find solutions
- Database security - administer and recommend mitigation
- Create job as and or stored procedures using command of SQL, PL/SQL & GUIs
- Write raw SQL to interact with databases
- Other duties as required
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree(in computer science or related field, engineering, or mathematics)
- Ten (10) years related experience
- Must be clearable for a position of Public Trust and standard background investigation check
- Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey
- Familiarization with AWS Database Services (RDS, Aurora) and PostgreSQL database installation/administration
- Must have a solid understanding of fundamental network design and operation
- Familiar with the Oracle DBMS bundles that extend Oracle DB functionality
- Strong command of SQL tools
- PL/SQL knowledge and ability to read scripts written by programmers and fine-tune queries
- Strong knowledge and experience with Red Hat software suite (Red Hat 7 and above)
- Experience working with Dell and Cisco products
- Knowledge working with Loadrunner, VMWare, Rational software, Oracle, Oracle RAC, DOORS, SQL, Linux, Unix, and Java
- Knowledge of Oracle GoldenGate
- Knowledge of system vulnerabilities and security issues
- Knowledge of Materialized Views to consolidate complex query logic in one table
- Must be able to take direction from others
- Must have good communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently individually or in a team environment
- Ability to travel when needed
- Ability to work off-hours at client site as needed
- Good at problem solving
