As part of a the QP Manufacturing and Construction Engineering organization you will put your engineering and problem solving skills to the test, seeing your solutions put into action in real time with a mix of assignments ranging from just a few days to several weeks to complete.

- Lifting and handling fixture designs and process support
- Lifting & handling arrangements - learning state-of-the-art crane capabilities and heavy load transporter operations
- Lifting and handling drawings and build strategies
- Lifting and handling Risk mitigation plans
- Initiating and implementing Process Improvements as well as supporting in implementing ideas
This position is located at the Quonset Point facility in North Kingstown, RI location.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Civil (Structural) Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent engineering degree
- 0-4 years engineering experience
- Knowledge of lifting/handling methods and/or structural fabrication techniques
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance through the department of defense
Preferred:
- Experience and knowledge in submarine design and/or construction
- A demonstrated ability in multi-tasking and technical project management is desirable
- NX, Teamcenter, SOLIDWORKS, and/or AUTOCAD experience in 3D model manipulation, structural analysis, and 2D drawing development
