We currently have an exciting opportunity in our Steel Shop. This position specifically is located in Norfolk, Virginia. We are looking for Shipfitter J-3. There is one (1) opening needed to work 1st shift from 0600 AM to 1445 PM with a 45 minute lunch.
Shift : ALL
Security Clearance : No Clearance
GUIDELINES FOR SHIPFITTER
JOURNEYPERSON 3 (Shipfitter)
Must be able to work with little supervision.
Be knowledgeable in the use of hand tools such as grinders, saws, shears, etc.
Be familiar with weld symbols and blueprints in order to facilitate layout and assembly of bulkheads foundations, handrails and miscellaneous ship sub assemblies.
Be able to tack weld and burn.
Must know the guide lines of 5 S and be aware of the standard items.
