Overview :
The Deposit Product Manager focuses on core deposit growth by thoroughly understanding our deposit products, building and auditing processes to grow them, and continuing to drive deposit initiatives already established. This role uses a unique skillset to understand where the Credit Union is currently and how to research, analyze and enhance products to get us where we need to be.
Essential Responsibilities :
- Thoroughly learn and comprehend deposit products, strategies and enhancements both currently held at GECU as well as those available in the financial marketplace
- Stay knowledgeable on market advancements to build and suggest strategies and product enhancements that drive growth for the Credit Union
- Maintain effective partnerships with internal teams understand products, processes and initiatives unique to each function of the organization
- Collaborate with specialized analysts and accounting team to understand business operations and how different products and changes affect the business
- Partner with IT, Delivery and other functions to ensure maximum efficiency for deposit products and processes - opening accounts, transfer limits, remote capabilities, etc.
- Coordinate new and enhanced product offerings with all appropriate departments to ensure full execution from idea to implementation
- Leverage the ability to recognize product opportunities while ensuring a member focused approach
- Champion new and existing deposit promotions and projects
- Research, analyze and evaluate competitors' offerings
- Support building value propositions and assess strengths and opportunities
- Build case studies, pilots and test users for different product groups
- Develop product life cycle management including market demands, technology trends, and competitive advantage
- Assess and identify dependencies, risks and issues that can impact member experience and deposit product value proposition
- Research and gain insight on updated economic, financial, and regulatory developments affecting deposit products and services
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for deposit products, processes and services
- Prepare executive reporting on researched tactics, strategies and impacts with accompanied recommendations
- Leverage professionalism, communication and presentation skills to transform data into dashboards, reports, graphics and presentations that are clear and understandable to business partners and senior leadership on a consistent basis
- Work with the Project Management, Steering Committee, and key stakeholders to scope deposit projects and help create strategy to execute on initiatives
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executives, cross-functional teams, and external partners
