A Configuration Management Specialist (aka Configuration Manager) is responsible for actively managing engineering design data throughout a product’s lifecycle in accordance with program requirements. This position will support GE Aviation Engineering Power groups located in Pompano Beach, FL and Bohemia, NY.
In this role, you will assist with providing consistency between the product and its configuration information and establishment of Configuration Management Plan (CMP) for assigned programs. Product categories include documents, hardware, software, tools, materials, processes, and systems. Primarily functioning as a change administrator in accordance with the 5 Pillars of CM, this role ensures any changes to product information are identified, approved, verified, and recorded in sufficient detail to produce and support the product throughout its life cycle.

- Chairperson for Configuration Control Board (CCB)
- Process and monitor engineering changes
- Evaluate / implement Design & Bill of Material changes & coordinate the introduction of the change within engineering and manufacturing environment
- Technical point of contact for day-to-day activities related to processing both hardware and software assets
- Provide back-up support for PM / Data Managers for Contract Data Requirement Lists (CDRL) & other CM / DM duties
- Monitor and update data in company PDM / MRP environment
- Support Physical / Functional Configuration Audits
- Support CM Supervisor as required
- Travel as required

The base pay range for this position is $90,800 - $135,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary / commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on November 29, 2024.
