GEE Group is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our client’s team. This role is ideal for a hands-on problem solver with a passion for optimizing manufacturing processes, implementing new equipment, and driving continuous improvement in an automotive production environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the development of new equipment from design and specification approval to fabrication, installation, and troubleshooting.
- Evaluate and integrate manufacturing equipment, machinery, and tooling for automotive parts production.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.
- Collaborate with vendors, oversee project performance, and manage sourcing activities—including international travel.
- Oversee the implementation of complex equipment, including robotics, PC, and PLC systems.
- Conduct root cause analysis to resolve production challenges and improve operations.
- Balance hands-on implementation (40%) with project / vendor management (50%) and additional responsibilities (10%).
- Perform process FMEA studies to incorporate necessary countermeasures into equipment specifications.
- Provide capacity studies and cost evaluations for financial planning and quoting.
- Work closely with operations and maintenance teams to ensure a safe and efficient production environment.
