Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Controls Engineer to manage capital equipment projects from conception through to successful completion. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects while driving innovation and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage capital equipment projects from inception to completion, improving assembly, material handling, and processes.
- Develop control solutions and design systems for equipment, leading power distribution and ensuring compliance with automation standards.
- Write, debug, and manage PLC programming while collaborating with vendors to integrate equipment.
- Prepare proposals, manage vendors, and oversee project execution.
- Review and approve automation drawings, interface with plant personnel, and oversee equipment startups.
- Handle project management tasks, reporting on status and results.
- Provide expert support for plant equipment when necessary.
Qualifications :
Education : Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering discipline.
Experience : Minimum of 7 years of experience in engineering, project management, and hands on plant / equipment level work in automation, with a proven history of innovation in project management and process equipment design for projects valued up to multimillions of dollars.
Skills : Demonstrated ability to organize and lead matrix teams to complete projects on time and within budget constraints. Experience with power distribution is required.
