As a Chassis/Container Technician you will be responsible for performing repairs to intermodal containers and chassis to industry standards. All while meeting our customer service requirements, minimizing cost, and maximizing uptime.

We have multiple shifts available, 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift openings!

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Perform work repairing Intermodal Chassis / Container and other Trailing equipment in accordance with AAR, ISO, DOT, FMCSA and Manufacturer standards.
• Diagnose malfunctions, using test instruments like handheld computers, wiring diagrams, and gauges
• · Ability to diagnose and perform chassis repairs using test instruments such as handheld computers, wiring diagrams, and gauges to repair components such as Lights, Tires, Landing Gear, ABS Brakes and Framework,
• Ability to perform Intermodal Containers repairs such as replace flooring, welding repairs, doors, locking systems and structural repairs.
• Document repairs according to an established reporting system, verbally and in writing
• Identify warrantable repairs and document on repair order with supporting photos if needed
• Knowledge and experience with griding, welding and acetylene torches and Ability to operate power and hand tools
• Work safe and follow all required safety procedures and guidelines.
• Follow instructions as directed by staff supervisor.
• Ability to work in changing weather conditions.
• Other duties as assigned.

IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• 1 years of Intermodal container/chassis experience required
• 1 years welding experience.
• Must be FHWA and brake inspector certified
• High school diploma or equivalent required - Vocational / technical or certifications preferred
• Demonstrated customer service and relationship building skills
• Team player with excellent communication skills
• Clean MVR and able to operate company equipment
• Basic computer skills to enter data into maintenance software system is required
• Must have own tools sufficient to do any job that is required
• Valid Driver's License
• Ability to lift 50lbs
• Willingness to complete a criminal background, drug screen and physical.
• Strong Work Ethic
