Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fire Sprinkler Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems in various settings, including commercial and residential properties. This role requires a strong understanding of fire protection codes and standards, as well as hands-on mechanical skills to ensure the safety and functionality of fire suppression systems.

Responsibilities

  • Install fire sprinkler systems according to blueprints and schematics.
  • Conduct inspections and testing of existing fire sprinkler systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on sprinkler systems, including replacing defective components.
  • Assemble pipes and fittings using hand tools, ensuring proper alignment and secure connections.
  • Utilize pipe threading techniques for the installation of piping systems.
  • Familiar with five year fire sprinkler inspections, hydrants, and underground control valves.
  • Collaborate with construction teams on-site to ensure timely project completion while adhering to safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including inspections, repairs, and installations.

Skills

  • Proficiency in using hand tools and equipment related to fire sprinkler installation and maintenance.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read and interpret schematics.
  • Familiarity with plumbing techniques and the ability to plumb systems accurately.
  • Experience with calipers for precise measurements during installations.
  • Understanding of relevant codes and standards governing fire protection systems.
  • Ability to work effectively on construction sites while following safety protocols.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
