General Foundry Service is a low volume aluminum foundry with a machine shop specializing in precision cast components for various industries including medical, biotech, military, semi-con, robotics and gps device. Currently, we are looking for an inside sales representative (part or full time) to help drive business and uncover new opportunities.
Overview
A successful candidate will quickly learn what General Foundry does, the value it sells, understand their target market and utilize sales applications to identify individual prospects. The inside sales representative will build on and create a database of prospects and constantly find new prospects and customers. They will establish relationships with engineers, uncover opportunities and provide quotes in a timely manner. The goal of the inside sales representative is to drive sales through a full pipeline of opportunities.
Duties
- Work independently and with other team members to drive business and keep the sales pipeline full.
- Find, identify, and create touch points with new prospects, continuously.
- Conduct outbound calling to prospective clients to generate leads and set appointments.
- Support other sales and management team members.
- Provide technical sales support by understanding product offerings and addressing customer inquiries.
- Promote a positive attitude, and a safe, efficient, and clean work environment.
Skills
- General Foundry operates a lean small business environment and candidate must take initiative.
- Ability to communicate (written and verbally) with prospects and customers using Microsoft Office applications.
- A basic understanding of the sales process and an ability to create relationships or rapport with prospects and customers to help drive business.
- Utilize sales applications & tools to effectively develop and maintain sales opportunities.
- A proactive approach to outbound calling, demonstrating persistence and resilience in pursuing leads.
Education/Experience
- College degree preferred or strong verbal, written and grammatical skills.
- Mechanical aptitude or training (preferred, not required).
- Proven experience in inside sales or a similar role, demonstrating a strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets (preferred, not required).
- Demonstrated ability to learn and stay motivated.
