Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to join our dynamic sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and managing relationships with clients within your designated territory. Your primary focus will be on generating new business opportunities, maintaining existing accounts, and driving sales growth through effective territory management. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a passion for customer service, along with the ability to analyze market trends and customer needs.
Duties
- Must be able to demonstrate prior achieved sales growth in the assigned territory.
- Must be willing to travel throughout Eastern Washington and Eastern Oregon.
- Experience in providing yearly sales plans to achieve territory growth.
- Ability and willingness to understand the technical data of our product suite.
- Business related degree or equivalent business training and experience.
- Must be willing to travel four days a week, some overnight travel required.
- Responsible for maintaining effective relationships with current customers and acquiring new customers that lead to increased sales and revenue.
- Regular visits to customers in the assigned service area, have talking points for each visit and acquire competitive information to maintain and strengthen our position in the market.
- Regular contact and relation building with will call customers, this would be done to primarily as phone calls every few weeks with same goals as in person calls.
- Respond to customer inquiries or concerns and follow up in a timely fashion.
- Weekly call plans and reports on previous week including and competitive information acquired.
- Report call plans and results of prior week calls on a weekly basis
- Other duties as assigned
Skills
- Minimum of 5 consecutive years of outside sales experience managing an assigned territory in the building material industry, glass industry experience preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- High sense of urgency with entrepreneurial qualities
- Ability to build rapport with customers which leads to long-term business relationships
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Professional and ethical conduct
- Clean driving record
