What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bellman position at General Hotels Corporation?
It is the responsibility of the Bellman to deliver exemplary service in efforts to provide a great first impression to the guests. The greeting used by the Bellman sets the tone for level of service and overall experience that our guests will receive while staying at our property. Your attention to detail and timely performance in this position is crucial to the success of our hotel property.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Anticipate guests needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.
- Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
- Be familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.
- Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction and utilizing the MOD when needed.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of the front drive/entrance area
- Transport guest luggage from the point of arrival at the hotel to their assigned room.
- Transport guest luggage from current room to reassigned room for room changes.
- Transport guest luggage from their room to the point of departure from the hotel.
- Correctly tag, store and retrieve luggage from holding room.
- Maintain accurate knowledge of scheduled functions within the hotel to direct guests to correct locations.
- Relay accurate directions to guests on inquiries of transportation within the local area.
- Deliver guest dry cleaning to their rooms.
- Deliver newspaper to specified guest rooms
- Polish brass luggage carts and maintain cleanliness of carts.
- Document maintenance needs on work areas and submit to manager.
