General Hotels Corporation is one of Indiana’s largest and oldest hotel management companies, with a growth mindset for the future. GHC is looking for a dynamic, high energy, enthusiastic and experienced sales professional to proudly sell for both of our Indianapolis Airport properties. It’s an exciting time to become a part of our Sales team and join the GHC family of hotels. This position will be selling for the TownePlace Suites Indianapolis Airport and the Crowne Plaza Indianapolis Airport. The TownePlace Suites is an all-suites hotel brand which is part of the Marriott chain, and the Crowne Plaza is an upscale hotel within the IHG brand.
The ideal candidate will be able to cultivate and develop relationships, prospect and manage new (and current) business, and positively impact both hotels’ revenues.
Position Summary
- Focus on Business Transient Sales for both properties
- Cultivate and develop relationships, prospect and manage new (and current) business to sell hotel room nights and meeting space
- Develop and maintain good relationships with clients and representatives of companies and local community groups
- Promote new business through pro-active sales efforts and tactics to include prospecting, outside calls, networking events and account penetration and maintenance.
- Facilitate Property Site Visits
- Engage in Full Account Management with Proposals, Follow Up and Negotiate contracts
- All other assignments by Management

- Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Education and Experience
- Bachelors’ degree in a related field or equivalent experience preferred
- At least 1 year hotel sales experience, preferably in the Business Transient market
- Dual brand hotel experience a plus
