RHC Medical Assistant will perform a range of clerical and clinical tasks that help maintain organization
and keep the RHC running efficiently. RHC Medical Assistant will work under the direct supervision of the
RHC Manager/Director and will adhere to the facility’s Standards of Excellence.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None.
Clerical duties:
- Managing office telephone systems, including answering calls and returning messages.
- Scheduling patient appointments and maintaining communication to confirm future appointments.
- Documenting patients' medical information, including medical history and health insurance
information. - Performing data entry tasks to document patient records within facility databases and maintaining
patient files. - Coordinating daily office activities, greeting patients and checking patients in and out for their appointments.
Clinical duties
- Recording patients' vital signs, documenting in EHR (Electronic Health Record).
- Prepping, cleaning exam rooms for clinical visits.
- Assisting providers during routine checkups and other physical exams as needed.
- Monitoring and documenting patient symptoms for providers' review during clinical exams.
- Providing compassionate patient support and care, attention and assistance during office visits.
