About This Role
We are seeking a skilled Industrial CAD drafter to support design and engineering by creating, revising, and organizing technical drawings and schematics for a nuclear fuel cycle facility. You will work closely with engineers, designers, and project managers to create and revise detailed technical drawings for mechanical, electrical, civil, and piping systems. You will ensure that all drawings adhere to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and facility safety guidelines.
Responsibilities :
- Technical Drafting : Develop 2D and 3D CAD drawings for facility infrastructure, equipment layouts, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and electrical schematics.
- Design Support : Assist mechanical, civil, and electrical engineers in the preparation of technical drawings for modifications, maintenance, and new installations.
- BIM & 3D Modeling : Utilize Building Information Modeling (BIM) techniques to optimize design accuracy and efficiency when applicable.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to translate design concepts into technical drawings and models.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, company procedures, and facility-specific design criteria in all drafting and modeling tasks.
- Drawing Revisions & Updates : Ensure proper design control, revision control, and configuration management of drawing sets.
- Document Management : Maintain and update engineering drawings to reflect as-built conditions and document facility modifications. Organize and maintain drawing files, including revisions, approvals, and historical records in compliance with document control procedures.
- Stay updated on the latest CAD and BIM tools, trends, and best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Field Verification : Conduct site visits to verify existing conditions, take measurements, and ensure designs align with facility needs.
