• Assist in maintaining the overall cleanliness of assigned areas, including corridors, lobbies, and common restroom areas
• Operate industrial cleaning equipment such as floor cleaners, buffers, sanders, and sprayers
• Perform daily cleaning tasks, including dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, wet mopping, wall cleaning, and glass cleaning
• Assist in snow removal of all walkways and maintain building security
• Remove trash and debris, and replace fixtures and equipment as needed
• Report technical maintenance problems to the Custodial Services Manager and maintain custodial tools and equipment in good working order
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• High school graduation or equivalent
• Preferred knowledge of methods for commercial cleaning, safety practices, and procedures
• Ability to read and understand material safety data information on chemicals and materials used to clean and maintain facilities
• Ability to use computers to communicate using email, reference information, and utilize online work order and facility scheduling software
• Ability to safely drive District vehicles to move materials, supplies, or fixtures from District facilities or local vendors
