Hybrid : This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Mountain View, CA, Austin, TX, Warren, MI three times per week, at minimum [or other frequency dictated by the business if more than 3 days].
Who are we?
We are the Energy Engagement software engineering team within the Digital Products Engineering (DPE) organization at GM. Our team collaborates closely with the hardware, software, and utilities product teams within the GM Energy business unit to deliver a comprehensive suite of charging and energy products and services, providing meaningful value to our customers through a seamless customer experience. Our mission is to rapidly and relentlessly ideate, iterate, and launch the next generation of innovative energy products and solutions.
We are looking for an exceptional experienced people leader who is excited about building web and mobile products across General Motors.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Leads, guides and directs a large group of technical employees responsible for engineering deliverables in support of the organization's business objectives.
- Manages engineering execution of team as related to the Vehicle Development Process deliverables.
- Provides technical leadership to work team. Interacts and collaborates with many teams cross-functionally.
- Leads team on new methods or initiatives without defined procedures.
- Leads team to meet targets.
- Reviews and approves engineering documentation, e.g. requirements, documents.
- Hiring : Identifies & leads staffing initiatives for work team.
