Hybrid: This position does require an employee to be on-site to perform effectively.This position requires an employee to be onsite 1-2 times per week.
GM Motorsports Competition Engineering is working to develop Sports Car Racing software tools in support of our Sports Car Racing Programs. We are seeking a Sports Car Racing Data Analyst to work with race teams, chassis team, engine team, and sanctioning body to determine what software tools would be most useful to the programs to build and test these tools. You will also dissect track data into engineering direction.Correlating ECU data, team supplied car configurations, and available Sanctioning Body Timing & Scoring you will create detailed reports immediately post practice and after qualifying and race events. If you have a passion for Motorsports and are interested in traveling with a race team to the IMSA series races as well as potential remote support for international racing then, read and apply!

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or Computer Science

Motorsports experience is preferred; Collegiate programs such as Formula SAE or personal hobby engagement is considered acceptable experience

Demonstrated proficiency in software development; Samples of past work will be requested

Expert at internal/external data processing and analysis

Ability to present data clearly and concisely; Examples will be requested

Ability to balance multiple programs efficiently

Strong collaboration skills and ability to navigate relationships with external partners
