Description
We are an Aviation company in Medley, FL seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming and setting up CNC machines to produce precision parts and components. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, geometry, and the ability to interpret technical schematics. The CNC Programmer will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality production while adhering to lean manufacturing principles.
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize CNC programs using CAM programming software based on customer blueprints, drawings, and specifications .
- Perform quality checks to ensure that parts meet customer requirements and specifications.
- Select the appropriate tools, fixtures, and machine parameters to produce precision parts.
- Interpret engineering drawings and schematics to fabricate parts according to specifications.
- Monitor machine performance, adjust programs as necessary, and troubleshoot any problems that arise with the programs.
- Set up and operate CNC machines to prove out programs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards.
- Implement lean manufacturing practices to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Maintain accurate records of production runs, including materials used, time spent, and quantities produced.
- Collaborate with other team members, including engineers and machinists, to ensure that all parts are produced to the highest quality standards.
Requirements
Job Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
- Experience3-5 Years preferred.
- Strong mathematical skills with the ability to apply geometry in practical applications.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing concepts is a plus.
- Experience in interpreting technical schematics and fabrication processes is essential.
- At least 3 or more years of experience in programming and operating CNC machines.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Pre-employment FAA Drug Test required
Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
