We are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in raising capital from institutional investors, extensive experience in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry, and prior CFO involvement in a sale or IPO of a pharmaceutical or biotech company.
About Us:
General Oncology is dedicated to improving healthcare through the development of innovative cancer treatments. We will soon be completing a phase 1 clinical trial at a leading hospital in the United States, testing a new treatment on stage IV, BRCA-related pancreatic and breast cancer. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead fundraising efforts, focusing on securing capital from institutional investors
- Develop and execute financial strategies to support the company's growth objectives
- Manage relationships with investors, banks, and financial institutions
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements
- Provide strategic financial advice to the executive team and board of directors
Qualifications:
- MBA or advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry
- Proven track record of successfully raising capital from institutional investors
- Prior CFO experience participating in a sale or IPO of a pharmaceutical company
- Extensive network of contacts in the institutional investment community
- Strong understanding of the life sciences industry, FDA approval processes, and drug commercialization
- Experience in financial modeling, valuation, and due diligence processes
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
