Are you mechanically inclined and looking for an entry-level technician role? We have an exciting opportunity for you! Our company is seeking a Service Technician Apprentice to join our team. We offer an 8-week paid training program that will equip you with the skills you need to succeed in this role, that takes place in Sacramento, CA. You don't need any prior experience, just a willingness to learn and a commitment to the training program.
As a Service Technician Apprentice, you will be responsible for maintaining, modifying, troubleshooting, and repairing a large inventory of electric and gas commercial kitchen equipment and appliances. You will adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). You will use a variety of tools to troubleshoot and repair gas, electric, water, refrigeration, and steam-powered commercial kitchen and HVAC equipment. You will maintain and display an awareness of various types of tools, common commercial kitchen and HVAC parts, and basic principles of electricity. You will communicate professionally with customers and colleagues regarding required repairs and status. You will navigate various service software and communications channels to provide quality service. You will regularly lift and / or move up to 50 pounds; frequently lift and / or move up to 100 pounds with assistance and lift equipment. You will also perform repeated bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, and climbing up and down ladders. You will be exposed to electrical, steam, and high heat units that require extreme caution and safety equipment. You will exert yourself in high and low temperature environments (overheated kitchens, rooftops, outdoors, etc.) occasionally to frequently.
