Job Overview
The Social Media Coordinator is a new addition to our growing company and Marketing team! Reporting to the Marketing Director, with responsibilities for all social media accounts, including Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn for General Plumbing Supply, KOHLER Signature Stores by General Plumbing Supply, EasyPlumbing and ShowroomSource.com.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in social media marketing as well as written and verbal communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Create engaging content for social media posts, campaigns and ads across all social media accounts
- Daily engagement with followers by responding to messages, comments, mentions, etc.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Sales and Purchasing to build and maintain a robust social media calendar
- Grow following both organically and by identifying and inviting followers the hit key audience criteria
- Track, review and analyze analytics to optimize social media marketing efforts
- Assist with the planning, development and social media aspects of our in-house publication, GPS Living
- Attend company events or visit stores as needed to gather and produce social media content
- Assist with the social media accounts for EasyPlumbing and ShowroomSource.com
- Maintain company information and online reputation (Google, Yelp, Houzz, etc.)
- Support sales and sales initiatives as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelors in Marketing, Communications or Graphic Design is preferred
- Knowledgeable in all social media outlets (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.)
- Experience with social media management tools (Hootsuite)
- Social awareness with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Computer skills: Microsoft Office and digital media editing tools, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator or InDesign) is preferred
- Ability to multi-task, strong organizational and time management skills, eager to learn
