What are the responsibilities and job description for the Printing Press Operator position at General Printing?

Printing Press Operator (Experience is required. If you do not send relevant experience directly relating to offset printing presses your resume will be denied)

We have an immediate opening for a full-time or part-time printer with the mechanical ability to set up and run Itek presses. This is an onsite position with a wage range of $22-$25 per hour , depending on your skills, experience, and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities :

Ryobi- 2 color and AB Dick- 2 color with envelope feeder preferred

Operate offset printing presses, including loading paper, reading job tickets, selecting appropriate stock, and mixing ink when needed.

Ensure high-quality printing and maintain a clean, well-functioning press.

Learn to operate other equipment as needed.

Preparing, aligning, and configuring machinery, ink, rollers, and paper

Inspecting proof sheets to evaluate print quality

Setting up and operating printing presses

Addressing printing issues by making print adjustments

Maintaining print quality, registration, color, and production speed

Maintaining equipment through regular recorded maintenance

Knowledge and Skills Required :

Strong attention to detail and a quality-first mindset.

Ability to read and understand job tickets.

Reliable work attendance.

Basic math skills to compute percentages, weights, and measures.

Experience in preventive maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting machinery.

Prior knowledge and experience using offset printing presses is a must
