Access Control and Fire Alarm
General Security is a family owned company is consistently nationally ranked in the top 30 in a widely recognized Industry publication, Security Distributing & Marketing Magazine (SDM). The publication ranks the top 100 Security Dealers in the Country on an annual basis.
We have a need for a low voltage Installation and Service technician with experience installing access control and fire alarm systems. Salary will be commensurate with experience and skill level.
Position Details:
The primary role of this position is to install, test, inspect service, troubleshoot and repair low voltage systems and devices.
Job Responsibilities:
- Services, troubleshoots and repairs low voltage systems, wiring and devices.
- Test and Inspection of fire alarm systems
- Installation of CCTV , Security alarm and Access control systems
- Programming of systems when needed
- Educate and train end users on system operation and functionality.
- Maintains the necessary truck stock/inventory (equipment and tools).
- Ensures the progress and completion of assigned tasks.
- Utilize our field service units (IPAD) for documentation of service a
- Completes and submits all required task-related activities, productivity, and other documentation in a timely manner.
- Posses a strong work ethic with attention to detail
- Minimum Qualifications (Education, Skills & Experience):
- Must have solid experience in the low voltage industry.
- Must have knowledge of trouble shooting low voltage systems
- Must have a working knowledge of local/national codes.
- Must be able to read plans, use a variety of tools and install panels, boxes and wiring accordingly.
- OSHA 10 or higher is preferred
- Must have a valid driver's license. Candidate would be subject to pre-employment drug test and background check
- Work Environment & Physical requirements
- Exposure to outside weather conditions, risk of electrical shock, and harsh work environments.

- Must be able to work a full-time Monday thru Friday, also participate in our "on-call" rotation with other technical staff

Pay: $23.00 - $36.00 per hour
