Fire Alarm Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Alarm Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of various alarm systems, including fire alarm and access control. This role requires a strong understanding of low voltage systems and the ability to work independently in the field. The candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our clients by providing high-quality service and support.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair alarm systems, including fire alarm, security alarm and access control systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Conduct system design assessments to determine the best solutions for client needs.
• Perform field service tasks, troubleshooting issues with existing alarm systems and providing effective solutions.
• Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment to complete installations and repairs efficiently.
• Collaborate with construction teams during inspection phases to ensure proper installation of alarm systems.
• Provide technical support and training to clients on the operation of their alarm systems.
• Assist in fire alarm sales by providing clients with detailed information about system capabilities and benefits.

Skills

• Proven experience as a service technician in the alarm or related industry.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems and components related to alarm installations.
• Familiarity with CAD software for system design purposes is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively.
• Strong communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members.
• Ability to work independently in a field service capacity while managing time effectively.
• Experience in construction inspection processes is beneficial but not required.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
