Position Summary
Oversee and coordinate fuel facility operations within the General Services Department; implement City fueling program goals and objectives and perform a variety of administrative and technical tasks in support of assigned area of responsibility.

Minimum Education, Experience And Additional Requirements
Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis.
Associate’s degree in transportation technology, business administration or a related field; and
Four (4) years of fuel facility experience; and
To include one (1) year direct supervisory or technical lead experience in an administrative capacity.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's License.
Possession of a valid City Operator's Permit (COP) within six (6) months from date of hire.
Preferred Knowledge
- Basic operations, services and activities of a fuel program
- Principles and practices of program development and implementation
- Recent developments, current literature and information related to fuels
- Operational characteristics of pumps and other mechanical equipment
- Standard safety practices associated with the fuel facility
- Modern office equipment including computers
- Pertinent Federal, State, and local laws, codes and safety regulations
Preferred Skills & Abilities
- Coordinate and oversee fuel operations and acquisitions programs
- Recommend and implement goals and objectives for providing fueling services
- Interpret and explain City policies and procedures
- Plan, coordinate and schedule staffing and material resources
- Operate office equipment including computers and supporting word processing and spreadsheet applications
- Respond to requests and inquiries from other divisions, departments and general public
- Allocate limited resources in a cost effective manner
- Communicate clearly and concisely
- Perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
