The duties that the incumbent of the vacancy will be expected to perform. Duties Description Duties include but not limited to: • Assist in managing and coordinating medium and large-scale site construction projects for client agencies.• Manage simple site construction projects for small client agencies.• Ensure the assigned program responsibilities or assigned projects meet client requirements and are completed within time limitations and funding allocations determined by the client and Division of the Budget.• Perform other duties as assigned.• Travel is required - 50% of the time is expected.

Minimum Qualifications This title is part of the New York Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement Statewide Program (NY HELPS)* and applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications to be considered for this position: Required experience: Six years of experience** in multi-trade building construction projects, which must have included one year of managing multiple building construction projects, and experience managing multi-trade building construction projects shall include responsibility for three or more of the following areas: • construction planning• coordination of multiple trades• cost estimating• project scheduling• material purchasing• resource management (including labor, material, and equipment scheduling)• construction document reading and interpretation (e.g., plans and specifications). **Applicant degrees in related fields may substitute for experience as follows: • No degree: six years of required experience. • Associate’s degree: two years of required experience. • Bachelor’s degree: four years of required experience. • Master’s degree: five years of required experience. • Doctorate degree: six years of required experience.Applicants may also be appointed to this position if currently reachable on the appropriate eligible list for this title OR are a current New York State employee with one year or more of qualifying permanent service as an Engineer Trainee, and eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
