Duties Description Review submissions from consultants to ensure compliance with OGS standards, requirements, and policies. • Assist higher level staff in managing more complex building construction projects.• Foster collaboration between Design team to ensure comprehensive document reviews.• Assess documents for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to industry regulations, codes, and standards.• Responsible for supervising staff, including managing, and overseeing consultant Construction Management personnel.• Assist with the development and implementation quality assurance policies and procedures for the Design team.• Implement best practices in document control, version management, and storage to improve overall project efficiency.• Perform a full range of supervisory duties.• Perform other duties as assigned. • Some travel required.

Minimum Qualifications This title is part of the New York Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement Statewide Program (NY HELPS)* and applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications to be considered for this position: Required experience: Seven years of experience** in multi-trade building construction projects, which must have included one year of managing multiple building construction projects, and experience managing multi-trade building construction projects shall include responsibility for three or more of the following areas: • construction planning• coordination of multiple trades• cost estimating• project scheduling• material purchasing• resource management (including labor, material, and equipment scheduling)• construction document reading and interpretation (e.g., plans and specifications). **Applicant degrees in related fields may substitute for experience as follows: • No degree: seven years of required experience. • Associate degree: two years of required experience. • Bachelor’s degree: four years of required experience. • Master’s degree: five years of required experience. • Doctorate degree: six years of required experience.OR52.7 Non-Competitive Promotion: If there are no more than three qualified candidates in the promotion field for this position, the agency will request approval from the Department of Civil Service to fill this position via a non-competitive promotion (NCP) examination, pursuant to Section 52.7 of the Civil Service Law.
