What are the responsibilities and job description for the Brick Color Correction Technician position at General Shale?
General Shale, Inc., the nation’s leading manufacturer of clay brick products, is seeking a Brick Color Correction Technician based out of Johnson City, TN. Applicant must be reliable, able to work at least 40 hours a week, and capable of working independently. Additionally. The applicant must be comfortable with travel as most weeknights will be spent away from home. This is a full-time position Monday – Friday with the rare potential for weekends. Training will be provided if the applicant is not experienced in brick color correction.
Duties:
- Manage your time to complete jobs in the most efficient manner
- Effectively communicate with sales representatives and Engineering on job progress
- Fill and ship requests for stain
- Assist plant personnel with various tasks as required
- Maintain company vehicle and equipment
Experience:
- 1-3 years of light construction and/or exterior painting experience preferred
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license (no suspensions)
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Must be comfortable with ladder work (up to 40 feet)
- Aptitude to mix stain to correct brick color.
Physical Demands:
- Sitting, standing, walking, stooping, reaching, and bending.
- Must be able to work from ladders.
- Must be capable of lifting up to 85 lbs.
