We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Safety Coordinator to join our team at General Shale. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate safety documentation, records, and training materials, as well as providing administrative support to safety-related initiatives.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Update safety-related records, documents, and databases to ensure compliance with regulations
- Coordinate training sessions, track attendance, and oversee certification timelines
- Prepare safety reports, audits, and compliance documentation for internal and external inspection
- Support the Safety and Insurance Department in organizing audits, meetings, and inspections
- Assist with the administration of safety manuals, policy updates, and training sessions
- Coordinate safety communication efforts, including distributing alerts and updates to management and employees
- Provide administrative support to safety-related initiatives
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Occupational Health/Safety, or related fields (preferred)
- Experience in administrative support, preferably within safety or compliance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
